Delivery — kerbside, on a pallet

Standard delivery is free to mainland UK addresses with no minimum spend and arrives within 3–5 working days. Your paving comes palletised on an 18-tonne tail-lift lorry, delivered kerbside: the driver lowers the pallet and moves it with a pump truck to the nearest safe hard-standing — your driveway or the kerb — but won't carry stone through the property, so please have help on hand. A handful of remote Highland and island postcodes may carry a surcharge, always shown at checkout before you pay.

Choose your delivery date

Free standard delivery gives a 3–5 working-day window. If you need a set day, pick nominated-day delivery (£39.00) for a chosen weekday, or Saturday delivery (£69.00) at checkout — the date picker shows the real available dates for your postcode. Full details on the delivery & guarantee page.

Breakage guarantee — 48-hour photo claim

Every pallet is covered. If anything arrives cracked, chipped or broken, take clear photos of the damaged slabs as delivered and send them with your order number within 48 hours of delivery. We send free replacements or credit the affected pieces — nothing to send back, no quibbling over a broken corner. See the breakage guarantee for the claim steps.

Returns basics

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you can cancel most online orders within 14 days of delivery and return the goods within a further 14 days for a refund. Goods must be unused and in a re-saleable condition, and you're responsible for return carriage of heavy goods unless they're faulty. Faulty or not-as-described goods are covered separately under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — the full policy is in our terms & conditions.

About this product

Product details

As a natural stone-effect porcelain paving slab, our Stonefire Bronze sits in a different colour spectrum to the greys and blacks that dominate most porcelain ranges. They come in warm beige with earthy undertones and subtle grey veining running through the surface.

Among porcelain paving slabs, these stone-effect porcelain slabs sit closer to sandstone or limestone in tone but without the porosity and maintenance demands.

As a part of our 16mm porcelain paving range, these slabs are currently in stock and available for immediate dispatch.

Why Choose Stonefire Bronze 16mm Porcelain Paving

Warm and Natural Finish: Stonefire Bronze porcelain appeals to broader home designs. Sitting between sandstone and limestone, the palette is warm enough to feel inviting and neutral enough to work alongside garden plants, render colour and boundary material. It suits traditional and contemporary homes equally.

R11 Slip Resistance: The foot grip of this natural effect porcelain is built in, not a coat on the surface. Following the UK outdoor paving standards, our exterior graded porcelain paving, 16mm, is R11 anti-slip rated. These slip-resistant paving slabs are ideal for domestic and light commercial applications, while maintaining reliable performance underfoot, even in wet UK weather conditions.

Weather Resistant: With porosity below 0.5%, porcelain absorbs no water, preventing cracks, surface spalling and retains its colour. This is especially important for south-facing patios and exposed terraces that see prolonged direct sunlight.

Easy Maintenance: Porcelain requires no sealing, no special treatment or cleaning agents. You save time on the maintenance as it resists stains, algae and moss. A soapy wash or light pressure wash does the job of keeping it as good as the first year, even after a decade of use.

Slimmer Profile With Same Finish: At 16.., these slabs are lighter than 20mm counterparts. They are quite practical in restricted-access sites, upper terraces or anywhere where material needs to be carried through a property. The 900x600mm large format and stone effect matt finish remains the same after years.

For those specifically shopping for this colourway, our full cream and beige porcelain paving range is worth exploring alongside this product.

Best Applications for 16mm Stonefire Bronze Porcelain Paving

You can use 16mm Stonefire Bronze porcelain paving in:

  • Patios

With a fully bonded mortar bed and proper sub-base preparation, these 16mm patio tiles perform well at standard ground level in low to medium-traffic patios.

  • Garden Terraces

The warm beige tones and natural stone-effect surface suit a wide range of garden styles, including formal layouts with clean lines, relaxed spaces, and planting-heavy schemes where a softer palette is the intention.

  • Roof Terraces and Balconies

The reduced weight per slab compared to 20mm is meaningful across larger areas with structural load limits. The bronze and beige finish also works well in elevated outdoor spaces where the goal is a warm, liveable aesthetic.

  • Pedestal and Raised Deck Systems

The 16mm profile sits cleanly within adjustable pedestal frameworks, allowing level installation over uneven or sloped substrates without full excavation.

  • Garden Paths and Pathways

The natural stone-effect surface and warm tones make Stonefire Bronze a natural fit for garden paths, particularly where the path runs through planting or connects different areas of a garden.

  • Pool Surrounds

The R11 anti-slip rating and water-resistant surface make these slabs a practical poolside choice. The beige and earthy tones create a relaxed, warm aesthetic around water that cooler grey and anthracite tiles don't deliver in the same way.

  • Overlay Installations

Where laying over an existing sound surface is preferable to a full dig-out, the 16mm profile keeps transition heights manageable.

Budget-conscious buyers should also compare options in our affordable porcelain paving range before committing.

Considerations Before You Buy

  • Install 16mm porcelain slabs on a pedestal/raised system or a fully bonded mortar bed. They are not suitable for loose-lay or gravel-bed installation.
  • Use flexible tile adhesive and exterior grout when bonding to a sub-base. Standard sand and cement do not provide a reliable bond for porcelain.
  • For roof terraces and balconies, confirm structural load capacity with your builder or structural engineer before placing an order.
  • The natural stone-effect finish on Stonefire Bronze includes intentional tonal variation between slabs. This replicates the character of real stone and is a deliberate feature of the product.
  • Order a £0.99 sample to see the colour and surface texture in your own space and light conditions before committing to a full pack.

The honest bit

What to know before you order

Batches vary slightly

Porcelain is printed and fired, so it's far more consistent than natural stone — but shade can still shift a touch between production batches. Order your full quantity in one go where you can.

Dry-lay before you fix

Lay slabs out loose from mixed packs and stand back before anything is stuck down. Once it's fixed, it's yours — ten minutes of dry-laying is the cheapest insurance there is.

Wet looks different to dry

Every slab reads darker and richer when wet — and this is Britain, so it will be wet. Check your sample both ways before you commit.

Delivery is kerbside

Your order arrives palletised on a tail-lift lorry, placed on the nearest safe hard-standing. The driver won't carry slabs through the house — have a barrow and a second pair of hands ready.

Questions

Porcelain — the essentials

How is Porcelain delivered?

Standard delivery is free to mainland UK addresses with no minimum spend and arrives within 3–5 working days. Your order comes palletised on an 18-tonne tail-lift lorry and is delivered kerbside — the driver moves the pallet to the nearest safe hard-standing but won't carry slabs through the property, so have help on hand to move it. Need a set day? Choose nominated-day delivery (£39.00) or Saturday delivery (£69.00) at checkout.

Can I see it before I order a full pack?

Yes — order a £0.98 sample and it's posted next working day, so you can see and feel the exact surface in your own garden light before committing to a full order.

What happens if slabs arrive broken?

Every pallet is covered by our breakage guarantee. Photograph the damaged slabs as delivered and send the photos with your order number within 48 hours of delivery — we'll send free replacements or credit the affected pieces, with nothing for you to send back.

How much does one slab or pack cover?

Each 900×600mm slab covers 0.54 m², and a full pack of 52 slabs covers 28.08 m². Enter your area into the coverage calculator above and it rounds up to whole slabs and packs, with a 10% allowance for cuts and waste built in.

Is it slippery when wet?

This range is rated R11 — a slip-resistance class from the DIN 51130 ramp test, where the scale runs R9 (least grip) to R13 (most) and R11 is the common specification for UK patios and pool surrounds. The grip comes from a textured finish fired into the slab's surface, not a coating that can wear off.

Will every slab match the photos exactly?

Porcelain is printed and fired, so colour and pattern are far more consistent than natural stone — but slight shade variation between production batches is normal. Order your full quantity in one go where you can, work from mixed packs, and dry-lay a few slabs before fixing. Colours also read slightly darker when wet.
