The Kandla Grey porcelain slab format is 900×600mm at 20mm calibrated thickness, supplied with an anti-slip textured finish. Each slab covers 0.54m²; a full pack contains 40 slabs covering 21.6m². Porcelain vs the natural sandstone version
Kandla Grey is originally a natural Indian sandstone, and Pave Direct supplies that too — in natural (riven), sandblast, tumbled and honed & sawn finishes, with calibrated packs at 22mm thickness. Installation facts
Kandla Grey porcelain is laid on a full semi-dry mortar bed over at least 100mm of compacted MOT Type 1, with a cement-based priming slurry brushed onto the back of each slab — the priming step is essential for porcelain because the slab is too dense to bond to plain mortar. Maintenance facts
