20mm calibrated Kandla Grey porcelain. Calibrated means every slab is milled to the same thickness, so they bed evenly and you spend far less time packing individual slabs level.

Before porcelain took over, riven Indian sandstone was the nation's favourite paving — hard-wearing, naturally slip-resistant, with subtle tonal variation no two slabs share. It is still a genuine choice: cheaper up front and lovely underfoot, though as a porous stone it benefits from sealing on lay and every few years. We keep it as our heritage range.
Most customers now choose porcelain for the lower upkeep — but if you love natural stone, order a sandstone sample and compare the two in your own garden light. Samples are £0.98 each, posted next working day. Our Porcelain vs sandstone and Sandstone laying guide guides walk you through the choice.
